- Twilight: New Moon made the Guinness Book of World Records, ousting "The Dark Knight" for the title of Highest Opening-Day Gross with $72.7million.

- AJ Michalka is the latest actress to join the cast of the Spielburg/Abrams movie Super 8. Already in the cast are Elle Fanning and Kyle Chandler.

On hand for the main festivities will be Nick stars Keke Palmer, Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove, Robbie Amell, Matt Shively, Ashley Argota, Chris Paul, and Jeff Sutphen.
